How long should a UGC ad be?

Most high-converting UGC ads run 15 to 30 seconds. Use 10 to 30 seconds for cold prospecting on TikTok, Reels, and Meta feed. Stretch to 45 to 90 seconds only for retargeting testimonials where the viewer is already warm and evaluating.

What is the best video length for TikTok and Reels ads?

For TikTok and Reels prospecting, 10 to 30 seconds performs best in 2026. Short-form UGC between 10 and 45 seconds leads both discovery and conversion. Keep cold-traffic ads tight: hook in 3 seconds, one idea in the middle, a 5 to 7 word CTA.

How many words should a 30-second UGC script have?

About 66 to 75 words. Natural UGC delivery runs roughly 2.3 words per second, so multiply your target seconds by 2.3. A 15-second ad is 33 to 38 words, a 20-second ad is 44 to 50 words. Read it aloud with a timer to confirm.

Do longer UGC ads convert better?

Not by default. Short-form video under 15 seconds delivers a 20 to 40% conversion lift over static, slightly higher than the 15 to 30% lift from 15-to-60-second video. Longer runtimes only pay off for warm retargeting audiences that will sit through a full testimonial.

How do I know if my ad is too long?

Pull the 15-second view rate and watch where the hold curve drops. If a 30-second ad loses most viewers by second 12, it is really a 12-second ad with wasted runtime. Trim the ad to where viewers actually stay.
